Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: April 25, 2026

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes activities that are prohibited on ApptOnly. It applies to every person and entity that accesses or uses the ApptOnly platform, including practitioners, their clients, and any visitor to a public booking page (collectively, "Users").

ApptOnly enforces this AUP. Violation — or reasonable suspicion of violation — may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, forfeiture of platform fees and pending payouts, refunds to affected clients, and reporting to law enforcement or regulators where appropriate.

2. Prohibited Activities

You may not use ApptOnly to facilitate, advertise, solicit, schedule, accept payment for, or otherwise engage in any of the following:

2.1 Illegal sexual services

  • Prostitution or any commercial sex act prohibited by the laws of the jurisdiction where the activity occurs or is offered
  • Solicitation, advertising, or arrangement of sexual services in exchange for money, goods, services, or anything else of value, where prohibited by law
  • Use of euphemisms, code words, or coded pricing to obscure the foregoing
  • Any service marketed as "massage" that includes or implies sexual contact prohibited by law

2.2 Human trafficking and exploitation

  • Activity that promotes, facilitates, or constitutes human trafficking, sex trafficking, forced labor, or any form of involuntary servitude
  • Recruitment, harboring, transportation, or solicitation of persons for any of the foregoing

2.3 Unlicensed practice

  • Practicing massage therapy, bodywork, or any other service in a jurisdiction that requires professional licensure or registration without holding a current, valid license or registration in that jurisdiction
  • Misrepresenting professional credentials, license numbers, certifying bodies, training, or scope of practice
  • Operating beyond the lawful scope of practice authorized by your license

2.4 Unlicensed medical practice

  • Diagnosing, treating, or claiming to cure any medical condition unless you are licensed to do so under applicable law
  • Providing services that constitute the practice of medicine, chiropractic, physical therapy, mental-health counseling, or any other regulated healing art without the required license
  • Selling, prescribing, dispensing, or administering prescription drugs

2.5 Controlled substances and regulated products

  • Selling, distributing, or arranging the sale or distribution of controlled substances, illegal drugs, or drug paraphernalia
  • Selling cannabis or cannabis products through ApptOnly, including in jurisdictions where cannabis is legal (the platform is not a permitted channel for these transactions)
  • Selling counterfeit goods, stolen property, or items prohibited by law

2.6 Services involving minors

  • Providing any service to a person under 18 without verified, documented consent from a parent or legal guardian
  • Collecting personal information from anyone under 13 (consistent with our Privacy Policy and COPPA)
  • Any sexualized service involving a minor under any circumstance

2.7 Fraud and deception

  • Charging clients for services not actually rendered
  • Creating fake businesses, fake reviews, fake bookings, or impersonating another person or business
  • Misrepresenting the location, nature, duration, or price of services
  • Attempting to launder funds through the platform or to avoid taxes, sanctions, or other legal obligations
  • Using stolen payment methods or facilitating payment-card fraud

2.8 Harassment and harm

  • Using ApptOnly's communication, booking, or client-record features to harass, threaten, stalk, dox, or intimidate any person
  • Sharing intimate images of any person without their consent
  • Discrimination against clients on the basis of any protected characteristic under applicable law

2.9 Platform abuse

  • Circumventing platform fees, payment routing, or fraud-prevention controls
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, the platform's systems, or data not belonging to you
  • Reverse-engineering, scraping at scale, or interfering with the platform's operation
  • Using the platform's communication tools to send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or phishing
  • Reselling or sub-licensing access to the platform without our written authorization

2.10 Other illegal conduct

  • Any other activity that violates federal, state, local, or international law applicable to you, your business, or your clients

3. Reporting Violations

Anyone may report a suspected violation of this AUP at:

  • Email: [email protected]
  • Web form: apptonly.pro/abuse — also linked from the footer of every public booking page

Reports may be made anonymously, but we are unable to provide updates to anonymous reporters. We do not disclose the identity of reporters to the reported party. Knowingly false reports made in bad faith are themselves a violation of this AUP.

4. Enforcement

ApptOnly reserves the right, in its sole discretion and without prior notice, to take any of the following actions in response to a suspected violation:

  • Investigate the account, including review of services, profile content, booking patterns, communications, and payment history
  • Suspend payouts on the affected account during investigation (Stripe Connect payout pause)
  • Remove or hide listings, services, profile content, or other materials
  • Suspend or terminate the account
  • Cancel future bookings and refund affected clients from the account's pending payouts
  • Forfeit unpaid platform fees and apply pending payouts toward refunds, chargebacks, and platform costs incurred
  • Disclose account information to law enforcement, regulators, payment processors (including Stripe), or other lawful requesters
  • Pursue any other remedy available at law or equity

The list above is illustrative, not exhaustive. We may decline to investigate any particular report and may take action without a report.

5. Cooperation with Law Enforcement

We cooperate with valid legal requests from law enforcement and regulators. We may disclose User information without prior notice when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, necessary to prevent imminent harm, or appropriate to investigate a suspected AUP violation.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect, except where a shorter notice period is necessary to address a legal or safety concern. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance.
