ApptOnly is bilingual end to end. Every client-facing surface (booking page, intake forms, confirmation emails, SMS, the manage-booking page) and every dashboard screen renders in English or Spanish. You do not maintain two versions of anything. The same service, written once, displays in the language each visitor wants.
How the client's language gets picked
When a client lands on your booking page, ApptOnly picks a language using this order:
- The URL prefix, if there is one.
yourname.apptonly.pro/es/...forces Spanish. - The browser's
Accept-Languageheader, set automatically by their device's language preference. - Your business's default language, as a fallback.
In practice, this means a Spanish-speaking client on a Spanish phone sees your page in Spanish without doing anything. A client who wants to switch languages mid-flow uses the language toggle in the page header.
Your business default
Pick the language most of your clients use. This is set in onboarding and editable later under Settings, Business. It controls:
- Which language a client sees when their browser preference cannot be determined.
- The default language of reminder emails and SMS for clients whose locale ApptOnly does not know yet.
- The default for new clients added manually from your dashboard.
You can still serve clients in the other language; the default is just the starting point.
Per-client overrides
Each client has a locale field on their profile. If a client books in Spanish, ApptOnly remembers that and sends future reminders to them in Spanish, regardless of your business default. You can change this manually on the client's profile if they tell you they prefer the other language.
The dashboard
The dashboard follows a different rule. It uses a cookie you set (top-right of any settings page) so that your own language preference is independent of your booking page's default. You can run a Spanish-language booking practice and use the dashboard in English, or vice versa.
What does not get translated
Anything you write yourself is shown as you wrote it. Service names, descriptions, your intake form questions, custom email blurbs. ApptOnly will not auto-translate them. If you want a service offered in both languages, the easiest path is one short, language-neutral name. For longer text, write the English version and add a Spanish translation in the same field if needed.
